About the Medical Students Committee
In the Bat Galim neighborhood, near Haifa downtown, lies the campus of the Technion's Faculty of Medicine. Because of its distance from the Technion main campus, the Medical Students Committee plays an important role in the lives of the students while fulfilling all their academic, social and cultural needs. The committee is the address for students in almost every field of life and therefore has a special structure that is different from the other faculties of the Technion.
The committee is headed by the Committee Chairperson and Vice Chairperson, along with the Clinical Chairperson and the Academic Coordinator, which responsible for academic matters, the Campus Office Manager and the Audit who is responsible to verify that the committee's management is proper. In addition, there are many coordinators who lead many important offices - culture, welfare, community, dialogue, study booklets, classes and student exchange and encompass all aspects of student life.
A central part of the committee is taken by the elected members of the committee and takes an important part in the activities of the committee, from responding to the needs of the students, and taking responsibility for organizing various events managed by the committee's coordinators.
Most of the students pre-clinical medical studies are taking place on the Bat Galim campus and the place is the heart of the Faculty of Medicine. The Bat Galim campus contains special and varied activities, and is especially important for the life of the medical students in the faculty. The committee is working tirelessly to make the campus lively and happy and to give students a pleasant and homely atmosphere.
