Volunteering in Your Own Way
Do you remember how before your studies, one of the main motivations to begin medical school was the desire to help others? Upon entering the faculty, under the burden of tasks and tests, this goal was marginalized. We want to continue to encourage the value of social involvement among you, future doctors, and invite you to volunteer in a framework that suits you!
"Making a Neighborhood" Project
The goal of the project is to strengthen the connection of the students with the population in their close environment! The project is divided into two tracks: On the one hand, students give private lessons to students from Aliyah school, and thus improve their education and knowledge. In addition, there are students who give lectures in the fields of health and enrich the cultural and leisure life of the adults in the neighborhood.
Selling Second Hand Clothing
Last semester, we held a fair at the Faculty for the sale of second hand clothing. Many students donated clothes and clothing they no longer needed, and at the fair itself the students were invited to buy clothes at floor prices! The fair was a big success, and the revenues from the event were transferred to a shelter for battered women.
Soup Workshop in "Enosh"
"Enosh", The Israeli mental health association, opens the door to a heart-warming workshop. In the workshop, soup is prepared and at the same time an open discussion is held in groups of students and “Enosh” volunteers about vitamins and proper nutrition.
Happy at Rambam
Like every year, students from the faculty are wearing costumes in Hanukkah and Purim, accompanied by musical instruments, with surprises and a lot of good vibe to make patients in the departments of Rambam Hospital happy.
Bear Hospital
This is a wonderful initiative that invites kindergarten-age children to visit the association's compound, together with their personal teddy bears. The children's teddy bears carry imaginary illness, and the students will embody the doctors in the hospital to help treat them. The purpose of the meeting is to reduce the anxiety that exists in children from doctors, while acquiring tips for a healthy life!
Hot Winter for Street Cats
During the winter months we collect unused clothes of students, and then arrange them in warm corners for street cats in the Bat Galim neighborhood.
